Teaching Strategies Using Rudiments 2.0

Here are some practical ideas on how to use Rudiments 2.0 in the classroom.

Using a Video Projector:

You can teach music theory using a projector to display the Rudiments 2.0 lessons. Students can learn and participate as a group.  They are motivated to ask questions and provide feedback about the theory problems they are faced with each lesson. This is an effective interactive approach for teaching theory because the students and the educator work through the problems together. It will be easier to teach music theory with a projector because you will gain the attention of all the students. Learning music theory in this manner can be a enjoyable experience for the students.

Homework by Email:

Do you have students that have long commutes? Is the student unable to hand over their assignment results on schedule? With Rudiments 2.0, students can copy their assignments on diskette and continue their work at home. If they have long commutes, or they are stuck at home because of severe weather, or they simply cannot get to class when an assignment is due, they can send their assignment results by email. Educators can prepare students by correspondence using Rudiments 2.0. They can keep track of all their students progress without ever having the student come to class. When the time comes for the student to do the actual test in class, they should be fully prepared to get a high score, thanks to the ability to learn music theory using Rudiments 2.0 at home.

Homework in General:

With Rudiments 2.0, students have the ability to copy their assignment results on diskette. They can continue their assignments at home or at school and maintain progress without losing track where they left off.
